Hey I just got a 2004 yukon xl. At first everything was fine for a few days then my speakers would cut in and out. Sometimes only half would work. Would also hear. A popping sound. Now no radio at all the popping is worse even happens when key is pulled. It has an aftermarket DVD system with 4 screens in headrests that I haven't even attempted to mess with yet but shouldn't have anything to do with radio.I did notice under pass. Front seat toward back some wires that have tiny connectors and some bare wires just hanging out. Please help I have to have my music! !!

"Bare" with you? ...Maybe ;):D

Is the head unit an aftermarket one? Does it have an amp powering the door speakers?

Everything is stock. Yes to the amp I think . found these under pass. Seat most unhooked I hooked up the ones I could. The red and black is missing its end. Im guessing it should be white

Be careful hooking up things when you have no clue what they go to....I doubt wiring thats been laying loose under the seat is going to solve your problem if it was working before. Pull the head unit out of the dash, make sure wiring harness isnt all cut into, pull the cup holder out of the center console and check wiring there for anything strange. If its all stock as far as radio and amp (bose) and door speakers then either the amp died or the head unit failed. All of the speakers wont go out at once.
The dvd system, unless they tied into the factory harness to play sound out of the door speakers, wont affect anything.
Are you still getting door chimes and chimes when the key is in the ignition?

No chimes. Speakers make a noise even with kkey pulled every so often. Radio controls work can change station turn up vol. Etc. Wires to amp look ok. DVD is not tied in that I know of. Still trying to figure that our also

Check your fuse box for anything labeled amp. I bet either the fuse for the amp blew or the amp went bad, because the head unit sends all signals to the factory amp, and then it goes from the amp out to each speaker. I don't know of a way to test head unit output before it gets to the amp though.
