I'm swapping in a 98' Chevy 5.7 Vortec to a 99' Cadillac Escalade which also had a 5.7 Vortec. My mechanic says the intakes don't match up, that I'd have to swap in new heads on the 98'Motor. My question is, wouldn't all the old equipment on the 99' intake fit on the 98' intake, without swapping intakes? I need serious advice here. Thank you so much

96-99 should all be very similar vortec, spider injection inside the manifold? been a while since i played around with those years.

1998 Chevy what? I am only assuming that a car vs truck 1998 5.7 intake could be different but I could also be wrong.

I'd be surprised if there was that much difference personally. But I'm a Chevy guy, no Cadillacs IME.
