I would advise not putting the 35w kit in the fogs, there have been reports of melting lenses. I had a 35W kit in my fogs that i did not like the color of and used maybe for an hour or two at most. It did not mely my lenses but it started to ruin the reflective surface of my fogs.

there are 25w kits available for the fogs (from vendors on this site i think) that do not have these problems

I had 35 watt 8000k in my z71 fogs. It got hot but never a 'too hot' issue, the bulb was a cm from the lense (tight fit)

That's why I asked because if the melting issues with 35w

The Z71 fog housings are different than the round housings on a non Z.

If you don't have a relay harness then all you have to do is plug and play. The factory plug will plug into the ballast and then the bulbs can only hook up one way. If they won't turn on or don't sometimes, you may need the relay harness.

Before you go crazy or get mad at the HID setup... Just wanted to throw it out there and make sure you understand what a relay is and why it is supposed to be used in this setup... If you do, and decided not to get one, then go for it! But if you didnt get one just because you are not sure what it is... ask now!
