This is the second time that the following has happened:
It was freezing today (17*) in NY and when I left work my HID headlights would not turn on!! I have 35W 6k bulbs. Anyway, the brights did work (surprisingly) and so I drove with the brights on and after driving for 20 minutes I was able to switch them back to regular and they worked just fine. Any ideas?

Hell, if it's 17 and your about to decrease that with wind chill I wouldn't want to work either.

Sorry, know you wern't wanting "cute"...actually I don't know of a reason this should happen. Suggest contacting the people you got them from and ask what gives. Mine have worked just fine in single digit temps so I know of no temprature restrictions.

Good luck and let us know what you find out.

I have a relay on them ..... they only fired up when i turned on the brights then after about 20 minutes of driving with brights I was able to switch them to normal.
