need some help finding a problem with my tahoe, got XENTEC 5k kit about a year ago, took it to the carwash turned it on when i was wiping it dry noticed the passngr headlamp flicklering as if short circuiting, turned the off for a littlebit then tried it again but kept doing the same thing, i switched the bulbs and so it seem like the ballast was the problem, BUT, something happen bc i removed the whole kit and went back to the OE bulbs and now the passengerside is really dimmed and the driver is close to normal and also the highbeams and daylamps are partially on too but as dimmed as the passngerside headlamp,,,,Fn sux:emotions122: any suggestions

First....that Xentec kit is a POS.....I had that kit briefly and had the same flickering. You need to have a relay which that Xentec kit does not come with. Got my new ones from DDM and haven't had a problem since and they fire up every time.

I would say that you definitely have a ground issue-without a proper ground you will not see full voltage. I bet if you probed that headlight connector with a VOM you would see low voltage. I would look closely at that connector to see if it is coroded or burnt. Also check to see if there is any rub thru on those wires. Seeing as the driver's side works fine-I'm guessing that it is the passenger side plug. Check it out. You can always get a new plug and splice it in.

Blown headlight fuse. I forget which fuse it is but it's in the fuse box located in the engine bay. Had my drivers side front lights do exactly what your picture is showing. Replaced fuse all was fixed.

The blown fuse in my situation was when my driver's side HID ballast went bad.

Yeah those HID's are crap. I have had a few sets of them in the tahoe then just got sick of them flickering and then the bulbs turning colors after a year or so. I just got HID guys bulbs and so much better. Output is a lot brighter and no flickering at all.

They are flickering because that Xentec kit does NOT come with a relay. DDM's kit does....no flickering
