I have a 05 yukon SLT. I have heard that HIDs can melt most headlamps so where and what type of halo headlamps should I get that will work with HIDs.

We have a retail shop and install HID's in basically all aftermarket headlight models you can imagine and have never had a specific time to use as an example for damaged housings due to HID's.

You hear about it here and there by people, but wattages used has lots to do with the end result.

I asked a guy at a shop here in town as well because I read that on here too and he said the angel eye is far enough away, both above and in front of the HID that it isnt an issue. Wont be shopping there though because he wanted 400 for HID install and didnt carry Spyder

Ha, no doubt. I wanted to ask someone who knew first hand. I can order new halos, HIDs, smoked tail, and tint my bumper lights for less than 400
