ok guys heres my deal i got the DDM 35w 6k hid setup for my lows the problem is they arent bright enough cuz i have 35% tint on the windsheild. So i was going to buy the 55w 6k setup for them but now i have an extra 35w ballast cuz the bulb that came with the 35w setup should work with the 55w setup (correct me if im wrong!!!). Where should i put it, i was thinking that when i buy the 55w setup ill just order the bulbs that fit in the tailights with it and just hook it up to the 35 w ballast instead and put the 55w ballast in the low beams. Help me out with my bulb size question and if the bulbs can be used on either ballast thanks!!

i have an extra ballast now, why do you think i should put the system in the high beams then?

I have never seen HID's in taillights and am pretty sure its because they are not meant to be in the taillights... Think about it; HID's are used to project a better light pattern with better results to halogens for driving down the road. They are much brighter as well because they for headlights or fogs. The only way I would see putting HID's in the rear of your vehicle to be any good would be to use them as reverse fogs/ spots.

Just my opinion.

i mean if i had an aux swith to them too it would be pretty cool so if someone was riding my a$$ i could switch them on or just if i was doing stuff behind the truck. People put the led's in but they dont broadcast very far this is an alternative for brighter reverse lights

not to me a dick man but i wouldnt throw the switch when someones ridin my ass.. what if they were epileptic? That would be some bad ju-ju man that im sure u wouldnt want.. but think bout the use for a headlight bulb, they were made for constand use.. unless u drive in reverse 95% of the time id say hell ya..... if u wanted some aux back lights for like camping or somethin get u some fogs to throw back there... and ive never seen leds that didnt broadcast very far....

I am putting a set in my reverse lights but I have Limo tint and live in the country ( area) North of Houston. Well I will again in about a month. Why not order the 3K bulbs and put them in your fogs to be real fogs?

now i know im really soundin like a dick but have u done the 4 hi mod? i know alot of people dont do hid hi's for the simple reason of bulb life...... the constant on off on off really beats down ******* them as to wheres lows would be constant.... i would say save ur ballasts for backups in case u have any future problems down the road with the ones ur or runnin now
