So I have ripped through all the threads regarding HID's and there are a lot of them, but my question is more along how to match up the perfect foglamp to house an HID fog bulb.

I know that it is recommended when upgrading to HID's for the lows to upgrade the headlamp--I went from the Yukon reflective lens to the Denali projector lens ( I know that these projectors are made for Halogen bulbs and not for HID's, but it better directs the beam pattern than a reflective headlamp would).

Which leads me to this-- How would I upgrade my foglamps to projector? I have seen some on EBay, BUT they have an LED light next to the projector and not to say the least they just look cheap.

I want to be as close to the OEM look as possible, without having to go to the ricey look ( nothing against that look, its just not my style).

I have seen that the 2000 Cadillac has projector foglamps, and as far as I can see they look like they may be a direct replacement to my 2004 Yukon foglamps and will maintain the OEM look that I am looking for. Does anyone know if this will work?

My other question is when installing HID foglights , would I still need to install a relay harness even though I have one already installed for my HID lows?

How would I install, them?
The way I installed my HID lows is directly to the battery, will I have to do the same with the fogs?

Thanks for any help that you may give regarding my questions.

Does your ride have the round fog lights? (too many body styles on here, can't keep 'em all straight)....

Denali-style fogs?

Anyway...if so, I've been looking for a good projector replacement as well. You're right, there's a lot of cheesy looking stuff out there. Nothing I have seen impressed me enough to make the jump, so I was planning on fabbing my own.

You can run them either way, just like the other lights. If you want the harness, you will need another one. Then hook it up just like your other one. Mine are currently plug and play with stock wires, and I have had zero issues.

I did find one that looked like it might be halfway decent, but dammit...that was six months ago on my other computer which crashed and I lost the bookmark. I know that's incredibly useful....lol.

Good luck. Let me know if you find anything.

DenaliAK-- No my Yukons fogslamps are not the round Denali style, they are the roundish rectangle looking ones...
I believe they are found in model years (minus Tahoe Z71& Yukon Denali) 2002-2006.

I was thinking of prefabbing my own too, but I wouldn't know where to start.

It'll be a little trickier for you, then, with the rectangle shape. Mine would be fairly easy to rig something basic into, because I can put a projector comfortably behind the big round lens already there. It wouldn't be pretty on the back-side, but it'd probably work.

Biggest thing you need to determine if you're going to go with a projector is how much room you have behind the bumper to work with, and how wide the lens is. You'll need a projector that will fit both ways....I almost couldn't fit my headlights in because the projectors I built into the headlights were deeper then the stock lights....lol. That would have sucked. It's a very, very tight fit as it is.

Projectors come in a wide range of types and sizes, but I imagine you'd need something pretty small. Look up S2000 projectors on ebay...they are one of the smaller ones. Anyway, it's a place to start, give you an idea of what's out there and how much it'd cost to do on your own. I can guarantee it will be more expensive....lol.
