hey guys i have a 97 tahoe with the 5.7 it has a cam and headers stupid question i cleaned the mass air flow then started it the truck wont idle under 1500 rpm i have changed the mass air the air idle controller and i also i get a code for the air idle saying its running to high any help would be great thanx

You could try pulling negative cable off the battery to reset computer - make it relearn .

Sounds like your throttle body is stuck open damaged or extremely dirty.

Last time I went through my air intake to clean MAF , TB , EGR , ect , It resulted in a high idle which was easily fixed by a comp reset . Left the battery disconnected for about 5 min ... normal idle at next startup .
