I went crazy tryna figure this problem out I went as far as taking the headlights out and testing they even worked answers yes. Ok once I turn my lights on all the way all my lights turn off. I pulled the switch out to bypass it and added 12V to my lights I got everything a turn on but the Hignbeams so I knw the switch isn't the problem also checked all the fuses, checked wiring. I'm out of options here is there some kind of rely I maybe missing that the I ly thing I can think or or some kind of modual idk it's driving me nuts I need to be running running lights at night just even have low beams. Anything u can think of lmk it's 99 4dr 2WD lift gate

Thx Nester

i am kinda not understanding what you are saying in yours various post but i think you have a problem with the multifunction switch. perhaps some clearer details might help better. like does your drl system act normal and such.

I have no high headlight period now. Once I turn the switch all the way up I have no low or high beams. I jumped the switch and still nothing. I have a funny feeling someone had HIDs in this truck before but I don't see anything wrong with the wiring. The light builds are fine as well I tested them before installing them as well

See there was an aftermarket alarm in the truck someone had disabled but never pulled the brain or the wiring, it was giving me trouble to to start so I pulled all that out and made sure all the wiring was back stock. I still had the same problem with the lights as well.

so the drl systwm does not function where you see a indicator on the dash and headlamps on either?

DRL does work. Once I turn the switch all the way up my lights go out I have no lowbeam or Hignbeams, I do how ever have all my marker lights.

I even took the switch apart to make sure it's working as you'll see in the pix I'm attaching

hter is a ****-fuse under the hood. about 50 amp and according to the label underneath the lid it should read "lighting". check for good fuse and no damage to contacts. if all is good check for volts on the biggest red wire on head light switch harness. if good then plug back in and turn on and off heads. see if you hear a clicking noise from that drl relay again. if so follow the wiring from the drl relay to the multiswitch and go from there using the diagrams below.

This truck was sitting for a long time by the looks of the interior not to mention the dry rotted tires. Someone went into the cluster and tried to put the miles back by hand lol but I knew that the day I bought it I didn't care. Point is this I do notice at night the lights on the cluster go in and out, the top of the dash is all cracked up from someone beating on it. If u just bump the streering wheel a bit hard it all goes back to normal. I want to guess there's a bad ground somewhere and this attachment is what I'm thinking it could be. Thx btw for the diagrams that's really going to help. But in the end I KNOW it's going a be something so minor and stupid like it always is smh
