Holey Transfercase!

Alright im new to this forum since i just picked up my Denali 2 weeks ago.

Its a 99 Yukon Denali all stock.
5.7l v8
4l60e with NP 246 Transfer case

And so the previous owner gave it to me because it needed U joints and a shop told him a transmission... Well i drove it and it didnt seem the trans was bad but the ujoints yes... So driving one day i went to let off the gas and let the truck decelerate itself, while it was down shifting it sounded like someone threw it up in park... So i researched it and found out that it seems that the transfer case chain had stretched..

Well tonight i got underneath it to check the Tcase Number and i come across this....

Bout 3/4 inch wide whole that runs the entire circumfrence of the main gear side...

Now thats some ****** up shit...

So now im looking for a NP 246 Auto Trac Transfer case for sale if anyone knows of one or has one for sale... not looking to spend over 250$.

Found one today with 68000 miles on it... 413$. gotta go pick it up monday.

Yeah very true... but 68000 miles for a 163$ extra... id rather buy that and shell out the money than spend 250$ on a peice of shit... My trucks looking at a future with 6 inches of lift and 35s maybe... Id rather know that ive got a better transfer case then one day trail riding with my buddy and my shit breaks and cant get out.. My truck is what we refer to as the tool/tow rig for the group i hangout withs jeeps so i gotta make sure that i have it good and ready to go all the time.
