So I picked up a homelink insert for teh roof console off Ebay, and had a quick question about wiring. Can I just run it off the power from either the rear view mirror or for the rear AC control? I'd like it to only have power when the car is on, reason being is my car sits in the driveway right now. I already bring my garage door opener in side as it is. But if it is wired to where it only has power when the car is turned on, would it loose the memory from the programming?

Thanks,

MG

I have it from the factory and the only thing I can tell you is that my car does not have to be on for it to work. I plan on taking my console down to fish out a CD that slid in and will look at the wiring when I do.
