Homelink question

Anyone know of any good way to extent/amplify the range of the homelink garage door system that's in our trucks so it will work at a farther distance from a garage door or such to open it? I practically have to be right up against the garage door to open it! Any good ideas would be appreciated alot!!

I have a 2001 Yukon and my Homelink reaches about 100 ft. It could be the receiver on your garage door. if you have another car with Homelink or a remote how far does it reach?
You may want to clear your homelink and reprogram it.

extend the antenna on your garage door opener..

Find out the frequecy it uses, and with a simple math formula.
We can find out what lenght antenna it wants.
You can simply attach via solder to its current lil wire antenna and staple the new Longer wire to celing.
this will dramatically increase your range.

was wondering the same thing...mine isn't that bad but I only get half the distance the Dodge Grand Caravan's homelink does in my GF ride.....

Good ideas guys, might have to do some tinkering on my garage door opener antenna to see if I can get more range!!

Looks like I had some electrical interference in my garage, I undid a wireless power system in my garage and now I can open my garage door from across the street instead up having to park in the driveway at the garage door to open it with the Homelink!!
So all is good, I've had that system in my garage even before I bought my truck so never knew what it was like before!! Thanks for your suggestions everybody!

1 Honk until your wife opens the garage door.
2 If she is with you, make her get out and open it
3 or call her on the phone and Tell her to open it......this has potential Unlimited range.

I'd say it also has potential to find the garage door reprogrammed, along with changing all the locks in the house too.
