horn double honks when locking

Why does my horn double honk when locking the doors? I think a door sensor is going out. Where are they located?

my horn doesn't honk unless I press the lock button twice, and then it only honks once. I think the settings can be changed.

I think it can be programmed like previously stated, procedure is in the owners manual

No it only does it sometimes. most of the time just a single honk like most trucks I know.

mines the same way, I figure the fob sends twice sometimes. Usually it doesn't honk but sometimes once or twice. Not something Id start changing parts over..

Next time it double honks, check all your doors to see if they all locked. Not sure if our trucks do that but our VW will do that if a door or trunk isn't closed all the way or locked!

mine doesnt honk untill i press lock like 3 times in a row

Agree with the above, sometimes the fob just send the signal twice making the horn honk twice in succession. I have had it happen before. Just FYI the door switches are integrated into the door latch mechanism.
