How cool; an extra sensor near front right wheel

Hm. Well given how the bean counters control everything an automaker makes I guess this isn't going to be an "extra" sensor. Clearly it goes to something and does something already. It's connected to a wiring harness coming out of the dash near the receiver/dryer. Makes me think it might supposed to have a hose or pipe running through the middle for something.

There's a piece of tape wrapped around it near my thumb in the picture with my hand. It looks like the tape was cut and it looks like it has an imprint from the plastic wire bundles.

There are a number of things not working but I haven't detected anything with the HVAC except sometimes it doesn't seem like my cooled driver seat is working. Not likely to be this though.

More than likely that is the auto ride suspension sensor going to the front strut.

I finally got time to look at this again. It doesn't look like it reaches any part of the shock. Any more guesses? Is there any place it could go for the suspension if it's too high up on too short a wiring harness to reach the shock?

I had this genius idea. There is a number printed on the sensor so I took a picture and searched by that number; 10306471 792291419. Genius right? Except Google comes up with NOTHING for that.

Still looking for ideas.

Ding ding ding! We have a winner! I'm looking at the picture on the page you found and not quite sure where this mounts. I'd guess along one of the battery cables but I'll need to study this more to figure out which and how.

I think I have the picture. My battery ground cables have been cut and spliced. I'm guessing the terminal corroded and someone didn't want to crawl around replacing the whole cables so they cut and spliced. When they were done they probably looked at that sensor which has to go over the cable and decided too bad.

Quality repair too. Tape is quality right? >sigh<
