How difficult is it to remove the side mouldings and badging from a Tahoe like this one?

How difficult is it to remove the side mouldings and badging from a Tahoe like this one? I would rather have it clean like my PPV was.

Not too bad, but it varies with the age and condition of the glue on the double sided tape. Some of my badges came of easy, but some of the glue was hardened and resistant.

Monofilament fishing line, solvents, and maybe a heat gun.

Of course on an older vehicle you may find bright shiny paint under there that doesn’t match the surrounding faded area perfectly.

Just removed the mouldings from my Denali, used fishing line to take them off an eraser wheel for the leftover double sided tape and a little buffing with some medium compound to blend the area

Looks great. Am considering doing the same on my ‘10 Denali. Would love to see another pic looking at front at slight angle so can see down the side.

Spiderwire fishing line, 3m eraser wheel for the adhesive. Cutting compound, wax like hell, polish like crazy. Takes 2 days but the results… they are worth every minute….

I love that clean look. My new 2014 Tahoe looks good but those moldings just look janky and discolored. Will definitely be taking them off.
