How do you change steering wheels?

Take out airbag... use steering wheel puller.. and done

Take the airbag out by using a small flat blade screwdriver from the backside of the wheel - you will see a spot on each side. You have to put it in there, and rotate the blade to get the bag to "pop"out.
Once its loose - un-plug it.
I'd make sure you disco the battery, and all Airbag fuses too - be carefull when removing them - they are dangerous if they go off.
Get a steering wheel puller, and pull the wheel.
Putting it back on is easy - just push wheel on (straight) and tighten nut..
Push airbag back in.

+1 Good call on the disco battery. Leave it unplugged for 2 minutes before you start to work, so the reserve power can die out first. I left mine hooked up when I swapped my wheel. It was a nail biter, for sure. Just waiting to hear that "BOOM"! LOL.

If that airbag deploys when you're working right in front of it....................YOU"RE ******! LOL! (It's not funny, but it is at the same time.)
Just imagine it going off with your face right in front of it. It would burn the shit out of your face, right before it blasts you in said face at close range.
