how hard to change axle gears?/4.56 questions

how hard is to swap the axle gearing and stuff? i have 33's and want more power of the line. and would 4.56 be good?? and do you have to swap out the front?

You should match them yes. I did a gear swap in my garage over a weekend. It's not too bad but if you are doing it in the truck you'll probably want to go with a solid pinion spacer instead of a crush sleeve. There is some patience and math needed so ...

to an extent,yes all i want to do is swap the gears. i really dont know allot about axles and shii like that mostly engine

be careful, take your time and triple check your work. it can be done though by a first timer. I pay for them to get done. My dad is the real motor head in the family andf can build a nasty motor with his eyes closed, he pays to get gears done.

A lot of people set up their rearends differently. To each his own, some people say to just zip the pinion nut on with an impact others do it a different way. Its all about how you learn it and which way works for you and performs the best :)
