how long does your steering sensor last?

I seem to be replacing mine every year or so. does anyone else have this problem?.. and Im using Napa sensors.

what happens when it goes out? sometimes my hoe jerks to the left when im driving straight. i replaced my balljoints and arms.

GM designed it so that at slow speed and rpm it makes the steering very light, and then at speed it tightens back up..when the sensor go's bad it wears spots in it where it cant determine the speed thus loosening the steering at speed...which is very dangerous. If your steering is doing that, replace it. Its a HUGE difference.

No trouble with mine for the 100K+ miles. Mine is a NBS though, I dont know if they made any changes to it

i didnt think the newer ones came with a steering sensor..

You could be right, I just know mine has something that makes the steering looser at low speeds and tighter at high speeds. I assumed thats what they have but you know what assuming does lol
