1997 4 door 4x4 LS all stock.

I have to pickup some solid cinder blocks from home depot 45 of them. They weigh 35 pounds each so about 1,600 pounds total.

I'm going to lay the seats flat and put a sheet of plywood down and spread the load out evenly.

Will that be too much weight or should I take 2 trips?

If it were me Id take two trips Im sure the truck could handle the load but for Saftey sake Id say Take two trips , If you really want my advice use a trailer , in the event of an accident your going to have 45, 35 pound missiles flying around inside your truck esp with the seats down . with the seats up you would fair better unless you roll over . I hope this helps

I'm only driving about 7 miles and I'll drive very slow with my hazards on.

It's not about hauling a heavy load, it's about stopping/controlling it. Although I do agree with Donnie about stuff flying around.
