How thick is our OEM rear sway bar? Just wanna see if there is much difference from OEM to Beltech which is 1" over thick. Ours seems just as close.

what i learned about sway bars, it doesnt matter on thickness, its about how many bends are in the bar. More bends the weaker it is.

The diff is the factory is a hollow bar and the BT is solid 1" bar. One of the best things I put on my truck was the BT rear bar.

I upgraded front and rear sway bars to BellTech bars. Been very happy with the decision - I paid more than $110 though (nice score for you).

How do you plan to run the ladder bars (assuming you're stock or lower)? I guessing that ground clearance will be an issue in stock or lower applications (not on level ground, but if you've got angles to deal with - think driveways and high speed bumps).

Wider tires won't help you in 'angled' situations where the frame catches or comes close to catching. I feel ya on the performance side (I've thought about adding them to my rig in the past), but just didn't want you to get caught unaware of the potential clearance issues.

I know a guy out in Cali that has (or used to have) a set on his Tahoe (lowered slightly - no more than 2-3" in the rear). It's a DD that he races on the strip and has gone from a stock 350 to FI 350 to FI 383 to 454 (not sure if it is FI or not)...it's a torquey beast to say the least.
