How to fix broken cargo cover?

This came apart. I cant really figure out how to get it back in. It fits, but it just pops right off again. Does that spring lock in somewhere?

usually when the spring has a finger sticking out then yes it fits into a hole, it probably needs to be rewound backwards first so it will retract when you close the cover.

Hmm, since shades for Suburbans are more plentiful then Tahoe covers-- I wonder if they can be cut down to fit a Tahoe. 1" on each side since Burb covers are 2" bigger.

I don’t know, but that bird is looking pretty suspicious. Better check the nest to see if it’s hiding any parts.
