How to get phone navi thru bluetooth 2014 yukon xl

Bought a 2014 yukon xl. Has factory stereo with xm capability. No navigation system. Has onstar but I don't subscribe. I cannot seem to use bluetooth to hear navigation from my phone. My vehicle isn't even in the list when I go into bluetooth options in my phone. I can do calls thru BT but not navigation.

Someone told me GMC turned off this functionality in some models in order to sell more Onstar subscriptions. (If this is the case with mine, I'm PISSED. I should be able to stream whatever navigation I want in my own car.)

Anybody know if I'm just missing something? What can I do? Thanks in advance.

do you have the upgraded radio with mylink or just he basic one. If your using google maps, google uses a2dp but chevy blocked that protocol for obvious reasons (onstar direction and connections) but you can download an app called super bt mono, or monobluetooth app which changes the audio profile and treats google maps voice direction as a voice call.

I have the 2012 nav and it automatically connects and says the turns from the phone.
