I debagaed my entire car a couple days ago, but there are ghost marks on just this side. I don't know why but I did the same process to all of them but just this one shows. In the daytime it's fine, but at night when the car gets fogged up you can clearly see it. Any tips on how to remove?
3M Stripe Removal Wheel to mechanically remove as much as possible,
then use denatured alcohol on paper towels. Replace paper towel a few times as it will "load up" with residue the same kind of way sandpaper loads up. Wax to match surrounding area.
The 3m adhesive removal wheel is excellent....insert it into your drill and keep a low speed, take your time and it works wonders. I've used mine on the last 4 trucks I've had with zero issues and no ghosting as pictured here. I always follow up after the wheel with some polish and wax, looks perfect afterwards.
When I used the 3m wheel, I used WD-40 and a rag and the residual adhesive came off with one wipe. Then I used a polishing compound and a foam wheel and I have had no issues.
