Hi,
I just bought my 2003 Tahoe few weeks ago. I realized that there is speed cut off while I am trying to gauge the top speed at 104 mph. Anyone of you guys know how to get rid of this speed cut stuff.

thanks

yours cuts at 104? If i remember correctly, i thought mine cut out at 90... but i could be wrong....

IMHO, your best option is drop dollars on a Black Bear tune, not only will you lose that speed limiter, but you will get there faster too :D

Technically, I believe the governor is suppossed to be 98mph IIRC. But like others have mentioned, you can change that by either a handheld programmer or any custom pcm tune such as those performed by BlackBear Performance.

It is supposed to be 98 but these things seem to vary alot. I've driven a stock BMW that went 165 when the cutoff is supposed to be 155.
