I know this thread is about lifts, but are there any options for 2" front/1" rear leveling kits that don't mess with Magneride and Autoride? I have an 09 LTZ.

My brother did a 2” lift in the front and 1” on the back and he had no issues with the magneride or the autoride

Here are the FTS ride height rod extensions. You cut the stock rods then lock in the desired position with set screws. They come two in a bag as a set.

I will try my best to explain all the details of setting of Auto Ride for lifted Tahoe/Yukon/Eskys from 00-15+. Any lifting on these vehicles such as a rear spacer lift under the coil or full blown lift kit will alter the ride height control. This concept also applies for the front MagneRide on 07+ with front ride height sensors. This concept can work for lowered applications using a shorter all thread rod to replace stock length rods.

I used Full Throttle Suspension for ride height rod extenders. They sell them in two (2) extensions per package. (Will add picture later) These have set screws on either end to allow full adjustment of the ride height sensor rods. To install the adjustable extensions it requires cutting of the stock rod. You can use either a metal cutting blade hand saw or cut off wheel. Cut the stock rod roughly in the middle of the rod. This will help center the extension in the middle. Install the rod extension by inserting each end of the cut rod into the extension then tighten the set screw on either end. This will now make a longer ride height rod that is adjustable. Ensure the ball cup ends are orientated in the correct position for install on either front and/or rear. This is simple by looking at the balls on the truck.

The front magnetic ride control dampening is adjusted using the ride height sensor to adjust the magnetic force inside the shock. The front ride height sensor is located just behind the upper strut mount towards the firewall. It is mounted on the frame rail and connects to the Upper Control Arm (UCA) as seen in the picture below.

The rear ride height control adjusts the amount of air pressure in the shocks that adjusts height and dampening. The rear ride height rod sensor is located in front of the rear tire towards front of the car. It may be hidden by the fender liner. The sensor is mounted on the frame rail and rod connected to upper trailing arm.

To set the correct position of either front or rear simply take a measurement from a fixed point prior to removal of each rod. Such as measuring the truck on level ground from the top of the sensor arm to fender liner. You can also rough guess the position by comparing the sensor arms to a stock vehicle located at dealerships or parking lots. People may look at you funny but its easy to look at a stock height car then adjust yours. This extension system will trick the computers to think the UCAs or rear trailing arms are in stock position when in fact lifted. This will enable the front or rear control of the system as stock. Hope this helps others with Auto Ride lifts.
I can't seem to find the extenders for the rear ride height rods..do you bu chance have the link?

if you have to buy online, order 10-24 all thread, best bet is go to home depo or lowes, find a 36” stick and have some extra. Think when i was piecing mine together the 2 6” pieces from amazon were like 20 bucks. Atleast with the 3’ you can mess it up a couple times and still have left over.

So I have front adjustable dampening/ride height coil overs, and luck have it due to not getting the resevoir mounting brackets, 2 spares in the closet. Hopefully for my life I don’t have to buy more but for now they are not going anywhere. I am planning on doing the custom rods at all 4 corners and running a set of factory magne/air ride shocks in the back because I want to be level always, whether i have my 15s, or my trailer I’ve pieced together an entire lift kit with everything needed for the back to go back to factory shocks just ordered a 9.5” rear end to switch to 4.10s and thats the last piece i’m waiting on to shit all my suspension to powder.

Being so close to pulling the trigger i started worrying about the front sensors burning up the resistors, I really don’t care if it pulls a svc suspension code, but my main concern is that when it does, the brand new $800 rear shocks are going to get destroyed because of the magnetic viscosity somehow becoming too soft, or they don‘t function as intended and i have to turn around and buy fox rear replacements anyway.

Can anyone bring some clarity to the situation? Can I just ditch the front all together, leave the resistors with no rods, hook up the back and the rear will work as intended, or do i need all 4 rods, with resistors and no magnetic struts?

I just installed the 3.5" RC lift kit on my 2007 escalade. The rear is sitting way higher then the front. In order the lower the rear some, am I suppose to extend or shorten the sensor rods?

Just in case people are still looking at this. I installed these on the back of my suburban https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00VE79HTS they were on one of the first pages but i did not see anyone install them so i gave it a try. They work fine, had to spread it a bit where it mounts to the shock, probably about 3/16, had to get bolts from lowes though, the one it comes with do not work, also i installed a bolt with some wide washers vertically, i can take another picture if necessary so the bracket does not rotate. Works fine so far, i installed 1 1/2" spring lift and the shocks would over extend at bumps, works just fine now

I will comment here as well as I wouldnt want to start a new thread

3.5" RC lift kit installed on my 07 escalade. Front drives great and feels good. Rear, I beleive that the rear are shocks are being extended all the way over bumps causing a horribly hard ride. The kit did come with shock extenders but maybe they are just to short? I did adjust the air ride links several times with no luck.
