So my 03 tahoe has been draining down overnight and I can't find out what's causing it. I've tried this method but haven't gotten to #7 yet.

Is there anything I should check that's common on these trucks or another way of testing? Just any advice at all? The battery is brand new and the alternator checks out fine...

Thanks!

could hook up a voltmeter inline with battery and then start pulling fuses to see which one causes a fluctuation in the meter's reading.

I found that the positive side connection was stripped so I switched both to the top mount and so far (knock on wood) I haven't had another problem. Could that have been the cause all along?? One other question, every time I hook the battery back up it arcs, is that normal? What's staying on to cause that?

Check the starter-to-ground connections. I had a battery draining on me because the grounding point for that cable was corroded to hell.
