04 Yukon 101k mi 2wd - I had my tires rotated yesterday and I drove about 20 miles afterward with no issues. Hopped in the truck this morning and my front left side is making a scary noise. Its hard to explain, its not really a pop, but it doesnt sound good. I hear it when i hit a bump, turn the wheel, and even sometimes driving straight with no bumps. I jacked it up/pulled the wheel and verified the wheel was not loose in anyway I pulled back/forth 3&9 and 6&12 - everything is tight. I did notice that the bearing has a very light noise when I spin it. It is very light, but kinda sounds like that click a bicycle has when you are moving and stop pedaling.

What do you think it could be?

So there is no play in the wheel when it was jacked up? When i replaced my hubs about 6 months ago there was slight play when it was on stands and an almost grinding/ clunky noise when i would be taking a sharper turn, not too loud but worrying. Its a litlte work but you can pull the hub out of the spindle and check for bearing action. My driver's side was cooked and was nothin but rusty dust in every crevice, passenger side was slightly better but seemed better to do both sides at the same time, got em at napa for like $120 a piece or so but ive heard of shops charging as much as $350-400 a wheel to replace em. An air compressor and impact wrench will make the job alot easier

II installed my spindles, so I know how much work it will be. I just dont want to go drop the cash on the parts unless I know I need them. I might just take it up to the dealer and pay the 29.99 diagnosis fee. It would be worth the cash to not have to spend the time figuring it out myself.. or the money buying parts i might not even need.
