I have an odd problem. It seems as tho my HVAC control do not work when I start the car with the remote starter.

I use to have an 07 Denali and when I started the car with the remote starter either my AV or heat & seats would come on depending on the temperature. I now have an 08 Denali and this function does not work. I'm assuming that GM did not change this feature one year later. Anyone have any idea why this would not be working?

Also, not sure if this is a releated issue but my heated windshield wiper button does not work. I press the button and nothing happens, light does not turn on and heated wipers never activate. Figured it could be cause by the same issue since the button is located in the same HVAC cluster.

Maybe you had a little fire that fizzled some relays due to your heated windshield wash still being active. GM recalled those (twice) due to fires. Ultimate result was removal of the system and some cash in your pocket.

The heat or the air conditioning? Or both?

One of my new Impalas didn't seem like the heat was working with the remote start. But I soon discovered it has to be a certain temperature outside before it would go full blown heat mode. Otherwise it just warmed up at it's own leisure.
