2003 Tahoe LS - Manual dual climate control.

When I push the dash button to recirculate the air in the truck, the light on the dash works fine but the actual door behind the glovebox does not move.

If i open the glovebox all the way I can see the position the door is in. Here's the weird thing. I'd chalk it up to being an actuator..

But if I manually move the door with a hook of some sort, the switch will then controll it ans work properly for about 5 minutes or a few cycles.. then it will not move the door at all...

Thoughts?

It's bad. When those actuators go, they usually lock up. But when you turn vehicle off, it's probably resetting for bit, then shutting down. On the brink of totally going. Had same problem with my blend door actuator, and would work, then not, then finally just stopped all together. Could manually do, then finally locked up totally. Went to junk yard and picked 2 up for $20, alot cheaper then brand new, and have an extra.
