So I added all the front bulbs minus the fogs on my Z71. After that I had hyper flash really bad. The 03-06 I believe has a large flasher module that controls all the lights. Instead of having to put resistors on every light I wanted a different solution.
So it was a little pricy but I found an updated module that does all the lights on the truck. It was 74.99 at O'Reilly's. P\N
It is a direct replacement for the stock one. You can find this online for cheaper but I wanted to find one local to try instead of waiting and having to send it back.
So first thing to do is apply the parking break. Put key in ignition and to accessory put the gear shift in low gear and tilt the wheel all the way down. Then gently pry the piece around the cluster and get it out of the way.
once that is out of your way. You can look at he bottom of the plastic kick panel there are 2 screws.
remove these two screws and then pull on the panel it should pull out. Once you get this out look for this piece
my module was pretty snug so I used a set of pliers to persuade the old one out. Then it was simple to put the new one in its place. This is the older module.
now reverse the plastics back on and your fixed up no more hyperflash. I hope this helps out some people. As I didn't find much out there for this. Enjoy BR
