I just installed a gas cap today but that’s the only thing that’s changed for quite a while

You absolutely do NOT have to listen to a word I am saying.
The other weird thing is earlier it acted like it had no voltage I pasted a video on another comment but then it started after this thing is acting strange as hell

It wasnt a single problem besides low ambient temp starts before today and it was idling today just fine. I shut it down and now it only runs with the fast idle stick , no weird noises, no huge misfire, no CEL, I’m kinda lost if it isn’t fuel pump related considering the voltage is fine .
I will still go back to what I said. You know you have low fuel pressure. It does not just go low and stay there forever on. It gets worse whenever it wants and that may or may not be the problem because you still have not given me the year of the rig so I can tell if is accel cable or drive by wire set up. Yes a fuel pressure regulator may be going out but when you first posted about this problem in this thread, you said you can't get a break. You just admitted you know you have low fuel pressure. You KNEW you had a problem. Bite the bullet and share vehicle info.

I shared it in another comment I thought. It’s a 2001 GMC Yukon XL 4wd SLT 5.3, if it helps there’s a mechanical cable on the throttle body cruise control moves the pedal any other information on the throttle body/gas pedal would wait until tomorrow .

Sorry, missed the year. I wanted that for just what you said. Is not drive by wire. Sooo, could be a fuel pressure regulator or failing fuel pump. Or, hell IDK.......

Because it’s pre 2003 it’s not electronic I believe if there’s anything small that can fix it in a hour I can do it before work and not limp it to work with high idle

Yeah I’m hella lost after it did The Whole high idle thing it didn’t want to send voltage to even the dash. WTF CHEVY
I can recheck the connections to the battery but once it high idled it was fine mind you this will be 5> am mechanical work because I have a early shift tomorrow. This truck has UNHOLY amounts of electrical issues. So many I can’t even list. Every time I tap into the electrical issues I almost need a pastor. And it’s random issues too not just a broken wire or bad ground you’re chasing some backwater repair the previous owner did. If you look in the picture with my fast idle stick you can see wires sticking out of the fuse box, remnants of a electrical door lock switch bypass repair that made the door locks work until I pulled it out of the fuse box. 567E8AD8-CB43-442A-B67C-6E1EA3A2E1AB.jpeg

so to clarify it runs if you keep the idle up?
if so then you might try to clean the iac valve, the drive by cable throttle body's actually have one that is not fully integrated, clean it as good as you can and stick a rag in the hole where it sits and you can twist it around in there to get all the carbon out of there as well, when you put it back on it might idle a little weird for a minute while it relearns
