I got my pioneer avh2800bs installed but.....

I can't find the ******* parking brake wire. So even if I didn't buy a micro bypass, the dvd system still won't work because I have found the parking brake wire to splice and connect...
Also I can't seem to get the PAC system to get my SWC to work.
I tried reprogramming but I guess it's not working any help would be fantastic!

Before anyone says bypass the parking brake by grounding the wire.
That doesn't work anymore on new units.
Idk why, but they got smart to it apparently.

I'm not watching movies and driving.

If anyone could please describe and hopefully provide a picture. You would be a lifesaver

You can bypass it still, just gotta go back to the toggle switch, the new pioneers take a double pulse ground, instead of a single pulse ground! Just run a ground wite to one side of the toggle and the green parking brake wire to the other side flip on flip off, itll work

I'd really prefer not to have to add a switch/toggle for it

When I was looking at the bypass w/ out the micro by pass I think I remember that it had to be at the parking brake itself unless you could find the wire leading up into the dash somewhere. But even then, how the new decks are hardwired it still would not work just by grounding it out. There has to be some type of delay in the by pass for it to work and that is where the micro bypass come into play. The micro chip creates that delay of current and then shuts off the signal. The switch if I remember correctly shuts off all the power from the ebrake wire and tricks the deck into thinking that its always engaged when the switch is on. If you already installed the micro then you see that it doesn't use the brake wire at all. I have a entry level deck and had the same issue and I used the micro chip and worked out great. All wiring was right behind the deck for it. Only cost about 10$ or summin like that. Eventually ill go with a higher grade deck and will just use the chip again. I really like the programming in the pioneers.

been a long time since i wired mine but logic would dictate that you dont actually need the parking brake wire because you are bypassing using it.

actually I know I didnt use it because i put my entire harness together watching tv in the house. The instructions for the bypass should tell you where the wires go. Pretty straight forward. I believe they are just remote, ground, and to the parking brake wire on the head unit. Thats it.. The bypass tricks the unit into thinking the brake is on so logically you wouldnt need the actuall brake wire..

...you don't need to connect to the parking brake. Any bypass you use will not need to be connected to the parking brake, as far as I know. That would defeat the purpose of the bypass...

The green wire from the bypass module connects to the green wire coming out of the back of the Pioneer that should be labeled as "parking brake" in some fashion. Then connect the blue/white bypass wire to your blue/white remote wire, and connect the black wire to your black ground wire. You are done.
