I might have found a gem that is about 1/2 mile from my American Legion post

He called me and said he would sell to me for $8000 and I went and bought it and have it home. I will post pics of it after I clean it.

The test drive was great the other day and my drive home was great. He has a Kenwood stereo in it with a remote for it. Two working key fobs and keys.

So, the quest is over and both sides happy. Time to start going thru it and making a list for this and that. Thanks all for any support given in this thread. In the end, I was just not going to find one in this good of shape anywhere within 200 miles of me.

Glad you guys were able to compromise. This seemed like a good fit for you when you originally posted it so it’s good to see you didn’t let it slip away over a couple hundred dollars. Looking forward to the pics. Maybe you should start a build thread just to keep track of all you do to it, because you and I both know you’re gonna do a few things lol.

I did give it a good look over and road test when I initially looked at it but now I will be taking wheels off and inspecting all of that and get down to the nitty gritty.

I will be doing the Corvette servo and the same exhaust as my other rig and wheels and tires. I am gonna save the Z71 wheels and sell the tires that are on it. It has the sliding open sun roof and I will need some info from anyone here as to the correct maintenance for that. This being an 05 I know it has some things my 02 doesn't. so a list of those from others here would also help.

After I check it all over and make my list of what I am doing, I will post a build thread. People that I know already want to buy my 02 but I am keeping it for now, may never sell it. I really like that rig. Now I have to update my signature.

After all that nickel and diming back and forth, you're now going to sell the wheels separately and tires with 40% tread left??

What does that do, exactly? Sorry for the ignorance, and I did a search before responding, but couldn't find anything on the site. There were SIX PAGES of "corvette" postings...
Corvette servo provides a MUCH quicker shift from 2-3. The standard is this kit:

Although, when I bought
Mine, it had the option to include the longer Servo pin:

Might have to get them separately now. My servo / pin had a decent amount of free movement, so also did the pin.
