In the fuse box under the hood of my 2001 Suburban there is a slot that is labeled "Prime" and the manual says its not used...does anyone know what this slot is for?

I forgot I had access to On Demand. Anyway the only info I can find is that it is the "Fuel Pump Prime Port". In the fuse box there is nothing inserted into that spot, its only the size of one fuse blade, not two like all the rest. It does see voltage when the key is on. So does anyone know if this serves a purpose?

I will be honest, the reason I am asking is that I needed to run a relay from a source that is switched on when the vehicle is on. I found that this terminal had what I was looking for and that from the top side of the fuse box, appeared to not be in use. So i used it to turn on an external voltage regulator, the truck ran for like 2 minutes but did not run like normal. Then she died. Everything works fine in the truck but now I don't hear the fuel pump kick on. Engine turns over and everything. I am not sure if this is the cause or just coincidence but knowing my luck I just ****** up.

A link that has a diagram of the fuse panel and the list of fuses/relays. The one in reference is #36
