Hello everyone I just recently finished transfering my system from my civic into my tahoe.Everything is great but my bass is not the same, some of the songs that would rumble dont sound half as good now. I went on line and kicker suggested this------ 3.25 ft3 (92L) + port displacement
3 x 13.25” (7.6x34cm) port, 14.5” (37cm) long
Power Handling = 600W RMS------but I dont know what this means. I know that most of you are laughin right now thinking that this is so easy, but i never build a box before so I need some help .If theres someone out there that can break this down for me I would greatly appreciate it.. Thanks

take your 3.25cft + 0.33cft(port) = 3.58cft, therefore the internal volume of your box should be 3.58cft and also you should add in your woofer displacement which should be on your spec sheet somewhere, now with that being said you can change the tuning of your enclosure by shortening or lengthing your port, and with those port dimensions your two outside walls that are enclosed by the top and bottom piece should be 13.25" height giving your overall enclosure a height of 14.75" assuming you are using 3/4" wood, but you do not have to build your box based on those dimensions, the first thing I would do is pick a volume that you want and a tuning frequency, I like the 32-34Hz range myself and I usually shoot for about 2.5cft for a single 12" sub but you could do lower or higher, I can help you design your box if you are going to build it
