With a little help from my buddy Neo I can honestly say I've got the smoothest riding 2/3 dropped tahoe on the planet. Ok that's a little bit of a stretch considering I've only driven my truck but compared to the old McGaughy's 2/3 setup I had the new one is PHENOMENAL.

Setup is as follows now
Front - McGaughy's spindles on OEM shocks
Rear - Pedder's 3" drop coils with belltech drop shocks and Hotchkis sway with greasable poly bushings.

Went from riding like hell to riding better than stock and handles amazing to boot.

the mcgaughys coils leaves a lot to be desired in rear so switching will be better than what you had.

Congrats Gerod!
For a 2/3, that is just about as good as a setup gets, especially for the rear.
Now if you changed your front and rear shocks to Bilsteins you would swear you're flying the Tahoe and not driving it.

Thats my next step is to switch out the front springs to spindles and need new shocks.. The car is starting to really ride like crap.

I wanted to go with bilstien shocks but they don't make a drop shock and I didn't wanna use shock extenders b/c of my past woes with them

I found Monroe made shocks in the right length with the drop for the Police Tahoes but I went with the Belltech and actually am diggin them a lot.

I'll post pics when the "transformation" is complete from mommy mobile on chrome 24s to stealthy SS on TBSS comp. grey 22s. Should have all the parts next week for the looks conversion (SS Bumper, Skirts, grilles, paint all chrome etc) and then its a matter of supercharger, tune, exhaust to complete the SS package that GM should've done.

You're my man on the wheels. I wanna go with the comp. grey 22s. I just can't friggin decide on the damn tires.

I've got 295/35/24 on the truck now and they only have the slighest tinyest amount of rub like nothing. That's on a 10" wide wheel

The closest overall diameter to that in a 22 is a 285/45/22. I'm kinda worried that'll be too narrow considering I think the 295s on it now on 10" look too narrow to me

I could go 305/40 but thats smaller OD than what I'm running now and I'm afraid it won't have enough sidewall.

Then I could go 305/45 but that's bigger than what I have now, would most likely rub, would throw off speedo, and might have too much sidewall.

My gut tells me go 305/40 but I don't want a lot of fender gap and I'm not going any lower.

What is Dylan runnin tire size wise? I sent him a PM but he hasn't responded. I know he's dropped more than me too.
