Idle issue

Hey guys,

I got an issue with my idle. I just noticed it after replacing my plugs (less than 150) miles ago.

It seems to idle fine for a second then skip down about 25 rpm's and I can feel it shuttee just sitting in park, drive, any gear. It also seems to hesitate for a fraction of a second after giving it gas from a stop. At WOT, its perfectly fine with no issues. I've been using the same gas in it since I've owned it (89 octane, in Iowa..) and never felt this. I've also never replaced the fuel filter.

However, my buddy noticed I had a loose manifold bolt when we were replacing the plugs. He could take it out by hand at 150k miles! I need help!

Any thoughts? Thanks to anyone who can help!

EDIT: I bought the Hoe at 138k and have owned this for about a year and a half. Only at 150k now. This is the first time I've done plugs on it. They were replaced with AC Delco Platinums (only AC's O'Reilly had for mine). Hoping any info I have might help...

Well after this post got 55 views and no thoughts I just went and bought iridium's and my issue is fixed. Apparently O'Reilly thought it took platinums. Napa knew what was right.

I guess I should have known myself but you live and learn I guess. And lose money..

Mine will drop and shudder when the a/c kicks on, but that's normal...

I never use a/c

I would have guessed a dirty throttle body, mine will do that if I go too long without cleaning that!! Glad you found out the problem!

I was gonna look at the TB but I remembered I took it off and cleaned it a few days before. Just wish i didn't have to buy 16 plugs. Now I know

Clean MAF sensor and TB...should help like above mentioned.
