For all you mechanics out there, how hard is it to change the Idler and Pitman arm on a 2006 yukon Denali? I have mechanical ability (aircraft mechanic) but I really don't know a lot about truck so this would be my first time at doing this. Also I was quoted at a shop for the parts and they listed Idler arm and Idler arm with bracket???????? Isn't there just on Idler arm......

AFAIK bracket isn't required to be changed. I don't plan to, and would appreciate input if someone thinks otherwise.

The bracket is offered because it too can be a wear item. Most of the time it is not needed. If you plan on keeping the rig and want to take a chance on the amount of wear on it before the next idler arm, then that is your call. That is why they are sold either together or separately.

Ok so this isn't that complicated of a job? I already converted my auto ride suspension myself.
