I'm breaking the mold

Instead of buying/building a 6.0 to drop in, I'm considering checking the compression on my 4.8 and slapping a turbo on it. I know the block will hold up just fine, but I can't find any useful info on heads or a cam for this application. Should I do a new set of rings? I can build up a jet engine all day long for you, but I have limited experience with the LS assembly. Can anyone chime in here and help a brother out? 06, 4.8, 2wd

Performancetrucks.net. lots of guys running front mount turbos on 4.8 motors. Seems the top ring needs to be regapped but it doesnt seem to take much to make big power on the motor. Isky cam seems to be popular as well.

I know that we have a 4.8L with a Turbo in a Sierra out here that is putting down some major power I should see him this morning at Coffee & Cars ill ask him.

Any one ever turbo a 5.3? Seen plenty of charged ones, not seeing any turboed.
