What up, everyone, I'm new here, but not new to the game!!!!

I got an 04 yuko 4wd I just bought a week ago.

My intentions were to slap some 26's on it and lower it so there is no gap....

But after reading some of the forums for the last 2 hours I see a lot of you are staying away from the big baller wheels. Lot of you say that they are hard to balance and they dont stop worth of shit with stock brakes and rotors.

I see in some forums guys are like you have to spend 3 grand on upgrading brakes and suspension to even get ready for 26's........

I guess fellas..... my question is... what size and drop combo you'all would recommend for my yuko?

It will only be driven about 5000 miles a year and most of the time I will be pulling my 'Cuda to car shows. I really dont want to go any smaller than a 22" wheel, but I want to drop it as low and as safe as I can......

Thanks guys.......Its nice to be here!!

Welcome to the site:cheers:
I'm running 24x10" wheels, +30mm, with 305/35/24 and dropped about 4/5" using spindles and coils. I don't really have any problems with any wheel balancing, shimmy, etc. I would suggest upgrading at least your front brakes if you upsize on the wheels, especially if you go 22" or bigger. I upgraded mine and it made a big difference in stopping power. Definitely worth the price to be safe. As long as you spend a few extra bucks on quality equipment and install everything correctly, you shouldn't have any problems.

X2 on the big brakes, especially if youre towing a full sized car. i tow a 16ft horse trailer and stopping is a *****!! dont find out the hard way how much distance you loose with big rims and a trailer

Hey Tony... New member on site and I see you have your number there for people to call(your brave)!

Can I lock your number in my cell? Once I start lowering my Yuko I'd like to call and talk with you..... IS that OK? Thanks. I'd be JONAS from MINNESOTA. Peace.
