Hello. My instrument panel has displayed the letters in the attached picture as well as, MEME.
Does anyone have any idea what would be causing this? img20170303_170237.jpg

What makes it do this? Does your truck crank and start? Does your truck have any issues?

Only reason I ask is that my Yukon was doing this a few months back when I was trying to fix the power seats... I had 2 wires switched in the power seat plug and it was confusing my BCM. When I tried to start it, the injectors would cut out and my DIC would display random letters and numbers like this. Once I figured out the wires were crossed and changed them it stopped. Maybe it's BCM related

Ty. Sorry, I didn't mention the cause. The last couple of days, when first starting the Tahoe, the only thing on the instrument display that works is the background lights, hazards, turn signals. The weird letters are displayed. Then within a couple of minutes, just idle, everything engages and letters go away, then normal odometer reading.

Hmm very odd. The only other thing I can think of is that maybe you have some issues with your cluster itself. I've been fixing a lot on my truck and the parasitic draw was really the last thing I had to fix. I narrowed it down to my cluster, so I got a kit and fixed the stepper motors, lights, and PRNDL but it's still drawing. Mine is doing funny things like not lighting up with key ON so I'm about to send it in.. not sure :(
