I want to make my tahoe a beach party machine. I want it to be loud enough to play for a croud, Im considering those wakeboard boat speakers for the rear access to hang down to make it loud and look amazing. I want opinions, ideas, anything!

Well If thats what your planning, then check out Wetsounds.com

I would say they are the leaders in wakeboard speakers. HOWEVER it also depends... If you are wanting long range and loud then definitely go HLCD.

But if you want loud and clarity but range of 50-80ft then go with their ICON series.

In wakeboarding world the ICON series dont have the range that the HLCD REV series do, however thats also 80ft back at 25mph and trying to overcome a roaring V8 lol...

When I built my own HLCD tower speakers they were easily heard 200+ft away. like loud and jamming out still at that distance lol.

You could do a bar across the roof like the obs Burban coat rack bar. And mound 4-6 can speakers. They would blast out nice. And be out of the way of your cargo. Also look at the these. This set is stupid loud and throws the highs and mids way the hell out their. I'm picking up a set for the boat specifically to throw sound at the beach. Buddy has these and easy 80' with no issue. Add set cans and done. Well needs amps but you knew what I'm saying. Plus they are a lot less than the wet sound speakers. Wet sound is good. But! I feel for that for less dollar you can achieve the same sound and throw distance with these Kickers and or some of the Rockford Fosgate tower can speakers. The wet sound speakers I feel are about 30-40% over priced for what they are. I have listened to a bunch and feel the kicker combo and RF are the best quality for the dollar for a quality can speaker.
