hey guys did the swap about 2 weeks ago but havent posted in a while so figured id share my experience..the swap took me 3 days 90% my myself in my garage floor with a tranny jack i had never done a converter swap but i did alot of research on it and it is straight forward you just have to know in whats steps to do it..the hardest part for me was removing the top bellhousing bolts and since i did not remove the transfer case it was a pain to clear the flexplate for the tranny to lower..but i got it done!

tranny cooler was very straight forward..my tahoe did not come with one stock so i had to cut one tranny line and tap into it from there

stall converter is an fti 3200 and its working great! makes the truck feel 2x lighter and takes off with ease now..got it retuned by justin at black bear and after a couple of days i got used to it but it deffenetly woke up the truck alot better

current mods are, 91 octane BB tune, OBX longtube headers and ORY, 216/220 .560 lift 114lsa camshaft, PAC 1218 valve springs, Brian tooley racing 7.4 hardened pushrods, FTI 3200 stall converter, CAI, Corvette servo, Efan conversion

it really does a good job with these since theyre so heavy..pushing the rpm range into the upper power band really helps out alot...ovcourse it does consume more mpgs but it imo its worth it...powerwise...elevation here in denver SUCKS ASS.! which affects anybodys power by about 20% my tahoe dynod at 260hp to the wheel before the stall..so just cam and bolt ons..and tune...elevation here is 5280 ft above sea level...also my tahoe is 4x4 so the guys at the dyno said its impressive to be pushing 260 through the drivetrain plus a transfer case and the heavy 22s at our elevation...but corrected at sea level it should be making around 320 to the wheels i believe

took it to the track last week and although elevation kills power pretty bad here i raced a guy who i once beat. he has a 2004 regular cab dodge ram with the 5.7 hemi when i raced at a light...let go at 50 and he said his truck was failling blahh blahh...soo at the track we raced and i did a 16.8 @ 85 mph...he did 17.3 and took em by about two cars..he didnt say anything after jaja...i have also beaten silverado ss and regular cab 5.3 silverados...my biggest disadvantage is weight but once i beat those trucks they sure are surprised jaja

I loved it when I put my stall in. I think we would be a good race. I have a little more cam but you have less weight lol.

i believe that would be a pretty good race..now that i realize how bad weight can slow one down jaja...you have full bolt ons aswell right?

Looking good bro.

thanks bro..il be honest i looked at your build when i was completly stock and slower than a Rock...saw how badass your tahoe was and inspired me to add some performace to mine...next i want to eighter do a 75 shot or get some 243 heads and have them milled, ported and polished and a valve job on them
