Just put in my new V-LEDS 5K, 7 Watt High Power 20 LED Backup lamps. The OEM is a 7441 bulb but it just doesn't get the job done. The replacements from V-LEDS are 7443. To try to describe the difference would not do the new lamps justice so I took pics. First pic shows the difference between the two types of lamps while the second pic shows the finished job. I like the look but how is the light output? Can you take pics of the area behind the truck?

So far I just can't justify to myself the cost of HID's for something that is on for less that a minute a day. The time to get started and up to full brightness also is a detractor to me. That said, I agree they will light up your path.

Yea my friend has LED reverse lights and there isn't that much light output. I have the HID's for my reverse lights and the "warming up for a few seconds" thing is not an issue. Right when you put it in reverse, it is MORE then enough light. Just my 2 cents. looks good on your car though.
