I bought a tahoe that has an 18" monitor installed. In order for it to be installed, they unplugged the rear heat/air controller from the roof panel and removed the controller and just left the harness there. Now the rear heat and air controller from the front does not work so I have no rear heat or air.

Does the fact that the rear controller is no longer plugged in causing the front controller to not work as well? I know that with the windows if you unplug one, the rest won't work so it got me to thinkning that this may also be a possibility on the rear heat and air controls. For those that have installed tv monitors and removed the rear controller did this happen to you? If so, is there a plug or something I can put in there to make it think it is there?

If that is not the cause, does anyone have a wiring diagram for the heat and air controllers? I checked the wiring harness for the front rear controller, but couldn't find any power getting to it. Can someone tell me which wire should be the main power wire going into the controller by chance?

Sorry for the long and possibly confusing post, but I'm just not sure where to go at this point.

is it possible to plug the controls back in and just put them somewhere under the headliner or even possibly pulling the wires down all together and putting them in like the center console, im pretty sure the second option I mentioned would work

Thanks! I plugged the control panel in and sure enough, the rear heat/air is now working. I just stuffed the controller up with the tv screen, I just didn't want to take all the interior interior stuff apart to rerun the wires down to the floor today.
