Today i installed the spectre cold air kit and the throttle body spacer on my 2000 Tahoe Limited. I recently just bought the tahoe and it is stock other than what i added today. I can defently tell a difference in the performance and it sounds like alot more air is going in the throttle body. I think next on the list will be a ported throttle body and new exaust system. Also i guess i will need some type of tune or a programmer. Any thoughts?

The throttle body spacers don't do anything for the EFI systems. You are probably hearing the whistle it makes when air passes through it. I would not recommend ported TBs unless you have some major mods, the stock TB is good for upwards of 600HP. Exhaust systems do not provide any performance value, so I suggest going with what sounds and looks best to you.

The only mod you have that would need a tune, would be your intake at this time.

I'd somewhat disagree. Ported stock TB will always help. I know on Gen III engines, some guys pick up 5-10hp. Also you can remove that TB blade restrictor plate. Did it on my 96 4.3. As said above though, the RB spacer is useless, unless you're tapping it and putting Nitrous nozzles in it. Now on a TBI set-up, they work.

Downfall to the Vortec is the damn spider injection.
