Hey All,

I have a Tahoe LS w/o 3rd row. How difficult/expensive is a 3rd row install? If possible at all. Assuming I need to install a track or some sort...

Thank you in advance for your response!

W/o 3rd row....like no provisions in the floor at all to install the seats? I guess I haven't heard of that. I thought you just bought the seats and they slide in.

Not 100% sure, but check the middle row configuration in your truck. In the NBS's, the middle row has the fold-down seat to reach the backs and the non-3rd row trucks dont have the same pass-side seat that folds down to allow you to go to the back. Some nnbs have the middle row captain chairs which would negate the entire discussion though.

Plus you'll need to hit a junk yard and get the brackets to install that the seats can latch onto in the floor. Not to mention you'll have to cut small holes in your carpet I believe so those bracket bolts can go through to bolt into the body of the truck.

Like sandd said the holes are under the carpet you'll just have to hit a junk yard or something for the brackets. I hadn't thought about the second row to gain access but that might be something that you should look at first as well.

Good info guys!

The seats do fold all the way forward allowing access to the area.

So it looks like all I'll have to do is:
- cross my fingers and cut the carpet in the right place to expose the holes.
- buy and install brackets.
- install 3rd row

might want to pull the carpet up from the back and get a good idea before you start cutting blindly. Someone might be able to get a picture and give you a better idea of where they are. Next time i have my seats out i'll take one for ya.

My seats are out...will snap a few shots today.

Edit: That was fast
http://imgur.com/a/2wr2h/1 Here is the gallery of images. I can get measurements if you want. It looks like the rings are welded to the floor of the vehicle. I will try to pull the carpet back a bit to get a better look. Also, the black plastic guides are glued to the floor.

These things are very secure to the floor, after seeing the entire interior ripped out of our 08 Denali. It is going to be a very long process of adding this to your vehicle...but as I learned off this forum, "anything is possible with the time and money".
