Has anyone ever installed a push button start in a 2004 Yukon XL Denali. What is the best brand to buy and a scale from 1 to ten how hard is it to install. Its my Brother's vehicle so it has to be perfect. His Denali has all of the top of the line gadgets. He has an autostart Viper 5900 will this be difficult adding this on to that or is it possible to do it on my own??

Buy him a Honda and modify that, leave that poor truck alone, if you keep going you are going to mount a park bench on top of it and call it a wing. STOP!!! Fast and Furious is not a modifying guide on video.

Thanks Guys, Its just that he has done so much for me and I want to do things for him for helping me out our whole lives. He loves his Custom Yukon Xl Denali and I just want to do good things for him because without him I would be dead or in jail. With everything going on in his life he has always found time to get me help and also be their for me whenever I needed tough love. He is on tour right now and could you think of anything I could do for him on the Yukon. His air ride is not working would I just have to replace the compressor or the Shocks. The compressor used to kick on but in the past year he said it quit starting so would that just be a compressor problem or am I looking at more than just the compressor. Thank you guys for helping me out. Take Care. Todd.

Could be a short in the wiring to the compressor have you tested the wires with a meter?

Well this is very thoughtful of you!
The air shocks are probably toast and because of that the compressor probably burnt up!
That would be a pretty expensive ordeal.

I'm going to check the compressor wires to see if the windings on the motor are shorted together or shorted to ground with my Fluke 87. If the compressor is shorted would this cause the air shocks to go bad also. Because I would be happy just to replace the Compressor and have it done with. I guess if the shocks need to be replaced I can do those but I'm going to test the compressor first and replace if needed then Ill check if the shocks are OK. If the shocks are locked up can that burn the compressor motor up? But they compress and rebound when I push on all four shocks? I can pick up an air compressor new for $189 but what would all four shocks cost me if you have a ballpark number?? Thank you so much for the replies. Todd

I just had my compressor changed out bc of the same thing and it was $700 at the dealership. Air shocks were still good. So it could be just the compressor.

Most people say that the Compressor is on all the time and that is what burns it out. My brother told me it ran for a few seconds after starting up and then turned off so there is no leaks in the line or else it will be on all the time so its a high possibility that the compressor just went and the shocks are OK correct?? People say to replace the compressor is very simple the only problems are two screws to get loose but otherwise its a simple change. I hope?

From what I've read you've got it!

Also only the rear shocks are air shocks so it'd only be two.
