installing brake controller - 2012 tahoe

my tahoe has the HD tow package but no brake controller. I'm told it should be plug and play but on eTrailer it shows i need to do some wiring. Does anyone know if there's just a plug in the cab somewhere?

No. Yeah a little more complex but pretty easy. Unlike say a Toyota there is no under the dash connector in place. There is brake controller power wire by the fuse box in the engine compartment usually tucked up against the driver side fender. The trailer video is pretty good if you plan to do it yourself.
